write_plan · add_tasks
The plan becomes tasks
Ask your agent to plan a feature. It writes the plan into Hatchlog and breaks it into tasks with priorities and acceptance criteria.
next_task
It picks up the right work
Every session starts by asking for the next task. Highest priority first, and claimed, so two sessions never take the same card.
update_task · report_bug
It reports back as it goes
Criteria get checked, files and commits get attached, and bugs it trips over land in Bugs. Then the card moves to review.
And a proper Mac app for you.
Native, fast to open, keyboard first, light and dark. Everything the agent writes is there to read, search and hand back.

Questions
Do I need Claude Code to use it?
No. Any agent that speaks MCP works, and you can run the board by hand. Token tracking is the one feature that needs Claude Code today.
Does anything leave my Mac?
Your projects and tasks never do. The app checks its licence now and then and looks for updates. That is all.
Why no free trial?
You get a 7-day refund instead, no questions asked.
What does "API-equivalent cost" mean on a subscription?
What the tokens would cost at Anthropic API prices. On a Claude plan you are not billed this, but it is the honest way to compare tasks.
Can two agents work at once?
Yes. Each task goes to one agent at a time, so parallel sessions never pick the same card.
Which macOS versions?
macOS 14 Sonoma or later, Apple Silicon and Intel.
